Department ofElectrical and Electronics Engineering with YUKTHI Cell Presents -Poster Presentation Event2K24

The Prototype demo Presentation– 2024 was organized by Electrical and Electronics Engineering department on 16-02-2024 at Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru, in association with Yukthi cell under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for the final year students. Students exhibited two prototypes. Team 1, presented on the topic of humanoid robots, while Team 2, presented on the topic of EV cycles. Prof. Lokesha B, HoD department of E&EE guided the team, Prof. Harshith K Assistant Professor Dept. of E&EE coordinated the entire event. Team1 members Mr. Akash, Mr. Alistair Jonathan Pinto, Ms. Chaithanya, Mr. Dhanush K, Mr. Franil Rohan Crasta, Mr. Sagar Charodi, and Ms. Sumana commenced the presentation with an overview of the importance of humanoid robots in various sectors, emphasizing their potential in healthcare, manufacturing, and assistance to the elderly. They showcased a prototype of a humanoid robot designed for household assistance, highlighting its features such as object recognition, voice commands, and mobility. The team explained the technical aspects including sensors used, programming languages, and future enhancements. A live demonstration of the robot’s capabilities garnered great interest from the audience. Team 2 Mr. Arjun A, Mr. K Charan Rai, Mr. Royson Fernandis, Mr. Thilak, Mr. Thushar S N, Mr. D N V L Ramsundaram started with an introduction to the growing need for sustainable transportation solutions and the role of electric vehicles (EVs) in reducing carbon emissions. They presented a detailed analysis of the components and design of their electric cycle, focusing on battery capacity, motor efficiency, and charging infrastructure. The team highlighted the advantages of EV cycles over conventional bicycles, such as reduced pollution, lower operating costs, and health benefits. A demonstration of their prototype showcased its performance, including speed, range and ease of use.
