DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING “Swachh Bharat”

Srinivas Institute of Technology NSS unit in association with Lions Club Bantwal and KMC Mangalore, organized a Blood donation camp on 10/01/24 in college campus community medical center. Dr. Dheeraj Hebri welcomed the gathering. Dr.Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, inaugurated the function and appreciated the students for voluntarily coming for blood donation. Chief Guest of the function Lion Prashanth Kotian, President, Lions Club , Bantwal enlightened students about the value of blood donation and urged students to keep doing such noble work.199 units of blood was collected from this camp. Prof. Rakesh Mallya , NSS officer delivered the vote of thanks.The students of 3rdsemester Department of Information science and engineering organized an event on Swachh Bharat held on 13-01-2024 at Guthumane and Artisan village, Pilikula, Vamanjoor. This campaign in lined with VTU NSS activity and Activity point program.The objectives of the campaign were promoting environmental awareness, improving community aesthetics, preserving wildlife and ecosystems, encouraging responsible waste management, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. This Clean Up Campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and the impact of litter on the environment. It provided an opportunity for us to come together, collaborate and work towards a common goal. This fostered a sense of unity and teamwork among us. It aimed to educate individuals about proper waste disposal practices, recycling and reducing waste generation to promote a more sustainable lifestyle.It was such a rewarding and fun activity. We worked together to pick up litter, clean common areas and spread awareness about the importance of keeping our surrounding clean. It was great to see the positive impact we made and how it inspired others to take action too. It was a fantastic opportunity to bond with fellow students and create a sense of community.This campaign was supported by our beloved Principal Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D.The campaign was successfully completed with the help of Prof.Sudarshan K, Head of the Department, IS&E. The campaign was carried out under the guidance of Mrs. Shreekshitha, Assistant professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering.
