Career Counselling for placement in IT Companies

The Department of Marine Engineering organized a webinar on “Career Counselling for placement in IT Companies” on 9th October 2020 through video conferencing. Ms. Delrin D’mello, Project Engineer, Wipro technologies, and Mr. Jagadisha, Assistant system Engineer TCS Ltd, alumni of Srinivas Institute of Technology were the speakers. Ms. Delrin D’mello, addressed the students about Wipro placement process and how to prepare in advance for their aptitude test and interviews. She also motivated the students telling them that a career in the software industry is a very viable option for even Marine Engineers. Mr. Jagadisha, gave a very detailed presentation about the selection process in TCS and also explained to the students how to prepare for the various segments in the aptitude test and the AMCAT exam. Presiding over the webinar, Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, encouraged the students to take part in all the placement drives that are taking place in college. Dr. Shankar KS, HOD of Marine Department asked the students to interact to their seniors who have already been placed and take all opportunities of placements drives that are organized by the Institute. Prof. Chandra Jogi in-charge HOD of Marine Engineering and all faculty members of department took part in the webinar. The event was conducted successfully with the involvement of faculty advisor Mr. Nithin Joshuva and association members.
