CHESS COMPETITION- CSE

The Department of Computer Science and Design, in association with the Association of Computer Science and Design (ACODE), organized a CHESS COMPETITION on 2nd July 2024 in the Auditorium on the 4th floor of SIT. Student coordinators Praneeth and Deeksha Shetty masterfully conducted the event, which became a testament to strategic mastery and intense mental stamina. The competition showcased several promising young talents, hinting at an exciting future for competitive chess. Spectators were captivated by a series of dynamic matches that highlighted the beauty and complexity of chess at its highest level. With 33 participants, predominantly 2nd students, the event saw a diverse array of competitors from various departments, each bringing unique approaches and techniques to the game. The competition was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of healthy competition among students while underscoring the importance of critical thinking and strategic planning. The event was coordinated by Dr. Padmanayana, HOD-CSD, and Staff Coordinator Mrs. Rajeshwari R. Shettigar.
