Anti-Tobacco Awareness Campaign

SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, MANGALURU DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING “ANTI-TOBACCO AWARENESSCAMPAIGN” The students of the 5th semester of the Department of Information Science and Engineering participated in the Anti-Tobacco Awareness Campaign held on 15-11-2024 near the college campus. This campaign was aligned with the VTU NSS activity. The objectives of the campaign were to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco usage, educate individuals about the health risks of smoking and chewing tobacco, promote a tobacco-free lifestyle, and encourage the local community to adopt healthier habits. Activities included distributing informative pamphlets and conducting an awareness talk, which emphasized the adverse effects of tobacco on health and the benefits of leading a tobacco-free life. This campaign was supported by our beloved Principal, Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D, and was successfully completed with the help of Prof. Sudharshan K, Head of the Department, IS&E. The campaign was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Shreekshitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering.
