Accelerators and incubation: Launch pads for early stage entrepreneurs

The Department of Marine Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru in collaboration with the Institutions Innovation Council IIC EDP Cell and AIMES organized a talk on Accelerators and incubation: Launch pads for early stage entrepreneurs on 18th August 2025. The session was led by Prof Shailesh Shetty S Head of the Department of Computer Science and Business System who served as the resource person. Prof Shailesh Shetty S shared valuable insights into accelerators and incubation emphasizing the identification of opportunities overcoming challenges and fostering innovation and leadership. Through real-world examples he inspired participants to venture into entrepreneurship highlighting the importance of networking and strategic thinking. The event was coordinated by Prof Chandra Jogi Departmental IIC and EDP Cell Coordinator and Prof Vivek V Kumar AIMES Coordinator along with AIMES members. This event received an enthusiastic response reflecting the institute’s commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial skills.
