A talk about mobile applications

A talk about mobile applications was given by Ms. Prithvi V Shet who is a android app developer on 16-07-2022 arranged by Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Head of the Department of MCA and Mr. Rajesh Naik, Faculty Advisor of MASM. Ms. Sharanya S Salian formally welcomed everyone present and the guest was florally welcomed by Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, HOD of MCA department. Ms. Kavyashree gave a small introduction about the guest. Ms. Prithvi V Shet started by talking about different features of android and iPhone and their advantages and weaknesses. She explained about the phases of app-development and what happens during these phases in detail. She also talked about the different components of android. She also explained what procedures are followed to get the app in the play-store or app-store and what precautions are taken by the google to ensure the app is safe to use and about how the mobile app-development works and what are the inner workings when a bug is reported by the user. It was interesting to see how exactly the application development works and what is necessary for development of different type of application. She also explained what is needed to create an application and a glimpse into how android application is developed. She also suggested some websites to learn about app-development and the different languages used to develop android and iPhone apps. She also shared some of her experiences in developing the android applications and advised us how best to learn mobile app-development. Ms. Sharanya S Salian thanked all the dignitaries and the students present for the talk. She also thanked Ms. Prithvi V Shet for sharing her knowledge and experience with us.
