5-Day Hands-on FDP on From Machine Learning to Tiny ML

The Department of ECE and EEE organized a 5-Day Hands-on FDP on From Machine Learning to Tiny ML from April 1st to 5th, 2024. The program was inaugurated on April 1st, 2024, by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized the importance of AI in the current scenario and provided practical examples. During the inauguration, Mr. Lokesh, the resource person of the workshop, outlined the topics he would cover over the five days. Throughout the workshop, topics covered included: Machine Learning Vs. Deep Learning Vs. Tiny ML, Developing Single Layer & Multi-Layer ANN models for Classification, Developing CNN Models for Real-time Image Classification, RNN Models for Sequential Data, Introduction to Tiny ML Kit, Real-Time Data Acquisition using On-board Sensors, Developing Tiny ML Models, and Deployment of Tiny ML Models on Machines Thirty-five faculties from different engineering streams of SIT participated in the program. The hands-on sessions proved to be very beneficial for the participants in understanding the concepts. The valedictory function of the FDP was held on April 5th, 2024. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. All the faculties provided very positive feedback about the workshop.
