🧩 Mystery Maze – ALTIUS 2024-25

Mangaluru, March 12, 2024: The Department of Information Science and Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the **Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),** successfully conducted *Mystery Maze* as part of **ALTIUS 2024-25.** This exciting and intellectually stimulating event challenged students to navigate through a series of **logical puzzles and technical challenges,** testing their **problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking,** and **decision-making skills.** With **42 enthusiastic participants,** the event provided a **unique platform** for students to apply their **critical thinking and teamwork** in an **engaging and time-sensitive environment.** The event was **efficiently organized** by **Sinchana and Spoorthi,** ensuring a **seamless and interactive experience** for all attendees. Held in **Room 406 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM,** *Mystery Maze* featured **multiple rounds** of complex **riddles, logic-based puzzles, and problem-solving tasks,** where participants had to **decode clues, navigate tricky scenarios,** and uncover **hidden solutions.** The competition was structured in **two challenging rounds:** - **Round 1:** Teams uncovered **hidden quotes** around the campus and captured them in **photos,** requiring them to be **observant and quick** in locating clues. - **Round 2:** Teams solved **riddles revealed through QR codes,** with each **correct answer unlocking the next clue** and leading them **closer to the final solution.** The event encouraged students to **think strategically** and **work collaboratively,** enhancing their ability to **tackle challenges with precision and creativity.** The **fast-paced and engaging format** kept participants on their toes, making the competition both **challenging and rewarding.** The success of *Mystery Maze* was made possible by the **unwavering support and encouragement** of **Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology,** whose **vision for technological innovation and academic excellence** played a **crucial role in the event’s impact.** The competition also benefited from the **active leadership and guidance** of **Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the IS&E Department,** and **Dr. Praveen Shenoy,** whose **expertise and mentorship** ensured a **well-structured and enriching experience** for all participants.
