🧠 Decode & Discover - ISE Department

Mangaluru, March 12, 2024: The Department of Information Science and Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the **Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),** successfully conducted *'Decode & Discover'* as part of **ALTIUS 2024-25.** This **engaging and intellectually stimulating** event tested students' **logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills** through a series of challenges that required them to **decode clues and discover solutions.** With **30 enthusiastic participants,** the competition provided an exciting platform for students to sharpen their **critical thinking and technical reasoning.** The event was **meticulously organized** by **Jayashree K R and Greeshma K,** ensuring a well-structured and immersive experience for all attendees. Held in the **ISE Lab from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM,** *Decode & Discover* featured multiple rounds of problem-solving tasks where participants had to apply their knowledge in **coding, algorithms, and logical deduction** to unravel hidden solutions. Participants competed in **teams of two,** working through: - **Round 1:** Solve the Errors in Given Code Snippets – Participants identified and corrected programming errors, testing their **debugging skills and technical acumen.** - **Round 2:** Guess the Correct Logos and Name Their Founders – Participants recognized various **technology-related logos** and recalled the names of their founders, assessing their **industry knowledge and attention to detail.** The competition encouraged students to **think strategically and work under time constraints,** simulating real-world problem-solving scenarios. Participants displayed **exceptional teamwork, analytical prowess, and creative thinking,** making the event both challenging and intellectually stimulating. The success of *Decode & Discover* was made possible by the **unwavering support and guidance** of **Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology,** whose commitment to **technological excellence and student innovation** played a pivotal role in making the event impactful.
