🤖 Atal-Inspired Tinkering Workshop - AI & DS, ISE Departments, SIT

Puttur, February 19, 2025: The Departments of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and Information Science & Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology conducted a workshop titled ‘Atal-Inspired Tinkering for a Better Tomorrow’ on 19th February at St. Philomena High School, Darbe, Puttur. The event aimed to introduce 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students to technological innovations through hands-on learning experiences. The event was organized by Mohith Kumar M P and J S Mithun and commenced with a formal inauguration, where Athmi addressed the gathering. Following this, a project exhibition showcased innovative projects developed by college students, who actively demonstrated and explained their work to the high school attendees. Faculty members and student organizers provided guidance and mentorship throughout the session. Students from AI & DS, ISE, CS&D, and Electrical branches participated enthusiastically, presenting their projects in an engaging and structured manner to ensure clarity for the younger students. Dr. Suryanarayana K, HOD of Physics, also addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of scientific learning and innovation. The program was supported by Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and executed successfully through the efforts of Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N (Head of AI & DS), Prof. Sudarshan K (Head of ISE), Dr. Praveen Shenoy (IIC Coordinator), Prof. Ganapathi Sharma (IIC Event Coordinator - AI & DS), Prof. Sowmya (IIC Event Coordinator - ISE), and Prof. Shreeram. Additionally, Prof. Aparna and Prof. Kiran, serving as Association and Technical Coordinators, played vital roles in ensuring the event's smooth execution. The event proved to be a valuable learning experience, sparking curiosity and innovation among the high school students and reinforcing the importance of practical, hands-on education.
