🚀 Expert Talk on Innovation Development & TRL - AI & DS Department, SIT

Mangaluru, February 19, 2025: The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at Srinivas Institute of Technology hosted an expert talk on 'Process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness Level' on 19th February 2025. The session was led by esteemed resource person Prof. Ajay Prinston Pinto. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Nidhi, setting the stage for an insightful discussion. Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of innovation and technological progress in today's world. Student coordinators Ms. Alfiya Jafar and Ms. Lavanya R played a key role in organizing and managing the event efficiently. The session, held from 11:10 AM to 12:05 PM, provided a comprehensive overview of the innovation development process. Prof. Ajay Prinston Pinto elaborated on the stages involved in transforming an idea into a market-ready product and introduced the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) framework, which assesses the maturity of technology from research to commercialization. The talk was highly engaging and enriched students’ understanding of real-world applications of innovation and technology readiness. This expert session proved to be an invaluable learning experience for students, deepening their knowledge of the innovation lifecycle and its practical significance in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The event concluded on a positive note, leaving attendees inspired and well-informed. The program was supported by Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and successfully executed through the efforts of Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N (Head of AI & DS), Dr. Praveen Shenoy (IIC Coordinator), and Prof. Ganapathi Sharma (IIC Event Coordinator - AI & DS).
