
🔐 Faculty Development Program on Cyber Security for Robotics & UAVs
The Department of ECE and EEE, in association with the Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee, organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 'Cyber Security for Robotics & Unmanned Aerial Vehicles' from February 3 to February 7, 2025. The Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee (E&ICT IITR), is an initiative supported by MeitY, Government of India, aimed at delivering short courses, FDPs, and certificate programs in both online and offline modes. Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, served as the spoke center for this FDP. This FDP was designed to equip faculty members and researchers with essential knowledge and skills in cybersecurity for robotics and UAV systems. The program focused on practical applications, challenges, and solutions to safeguard autonomous systems against potential cyber threats. The inauguration took place on February 4, 2025, in an online mode, with Prof. Sanjeev Manhas from the ECE Department, IIT Roorkee, delivering the inaugural address. He emphasized innovative pedagogy and the importance of adopting creative teaching methodologies. Following the inauguration, the first session commenced with a talk on 'Malware Analysis' by Dr. Ankit. The FDP saw participation from around 35 faculty members across various disciplines.
