💻 Syntax Saga – ALTIUS 2024-25

Mangaluru, March 12, 2024: The Department of Information Science and Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the **Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),** successfully conducted *Syntax Saga* as part of **ALTIUS 2024-25.** This **technically enriching and intellectually stimulating event** was designed to test students' **coding proficiency, logical reasoning,** and **problem-solving skills** through a series of challenging programming tasks. With **24 skilled participants,** the competition provided an **excellent platform** for students to **demonstrate their expertise** in coding and **algorithmic problem-solving.** The event was **meticulously organized** by **Kaushal K and Prasanna P,** ensuring a **structured and engaging experience** for all attendees. Held in **Room 006 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM,** *Syntax Saga* featured **multiple rounds** of **coding challenges** that required participants to **solve algorithmic problems efficiently** within a limited time. The competition was structured into **two rounds:** - **Round 1:** Participants had to **guess technical words** from given paragraphs and **form sentences,** testing their **technical vocabulary and comprehension.** - **Round 2:** Participants had to **identify the correct syntax** of given programming languages, assessing their **coding accuracy and understanding of language-specific rules.** The competition encouraged students to **apply their programming knowledge, debug errors,** and **optimize solutions,** simulating **real-world coding scenarios.** The event provided a **dynamic and competitive environment,** pushing participants to **think critically** and **code effectively** under **time constraints.** The success of *Syntax Saga* was made possible by the **unwavering support and guidance** of **Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology,** whose **vision for technical excellence and research-driven learning** greatly contributed to the event's effectiveness.
