🏭 Field Visit to Deccan Plast Industries - MBA Department, SIT

Mangaluru, February 21, 2025: The Department of MBA at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a Field/Exposure Visit to Deccan Plast Industries Pvt Ltd on 21st February 2025. A batch of 103 third-semester MBA students visited Deccan Plast Industries Pvt Ltd, a leading plastic manufacturing company known for its cutting-edge technologies and high-quality products. The objective of this visit was to offer students practical exposure to manufacturing processes, operational strategies, and real-world business practices. During the visit, students toured the facility and observed various production processes, including injection molding, extrusion, and plastic product assembly. This hands-on experience allowed them to relate theoretical business management concepts to practical applications in the manufacturing industry. In addition to the plant tour, students engaged in interactive discussions with the company’s management team. These discussions provided valuable insights into business strategies, marketing approaches, corporate leadership, and workforce management in the manufacturing sector. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions about operational challenges and the role of innovation in maintaining a competitive edge in the industry. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with a deeper understanding of industry practices and reinforcing key business concepts learned in their academic curriculum.
