⚡ Byte and Hint - ALTIUS 2024-25 - ISE Department

Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2024: The Department of Information Science and Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with **the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),** successfully conducted *'Byte and Hint'* as part of **ALTIUS 2024-25.** The event aimed to test students' **problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and teamwork** through a dynamic series of **challenging clues and technical puzzles.** With **84 enthusiastic participants,** the event provided an exciting opportunity for students to enhance **analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving abilities.** Organized by **Nishan and Rohith,** the event was conducted in **Room 406 from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM** and featured multiple rounds of **cryptic challenges, riddles, and technical hints** requiring strategic thinking and teamwork. The event comprised **three competitive rounds:** - **Image Guess:** Participants identified technical terms based on given images, testing visual interpretation and technical awareness. - **Technical Riddle:** Participants solved technical riddles using logical deduction and domain knowledge. - **Debugging Challenge:** Participants analyzed and corrected errors in given programming codes, testing coding expertise. The success of Byte and Hint was made possible by the **support and vision** of **Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal,** whose dedication to innovation and technological excellence played a crucial role. The session also benefited from the **leadership of Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the IS&E Department,** and **Dr. Praveen Shenoy,** whose mentorship ensured a well-organized and enriching experience. **Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor of AISE and Event Coordinator for IIC,** played a key role in event coordination, enhancing student engagement.
