“Field Exposure Visit to Incubation Unit Patent Facilitation Centre Technology Transfer Center”-2022

The Institute's Innovation Council (IIC), in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) cell, has organized a visit to attend the function “Be an Entrepreneur Become an Employer,” workshop under the activity “Field/Exposure Visit to Incubation Unit/Patent Facilitation Center/Technology Transfer Center” on 12th May 2022 at TMA Pai International Convention center, M G Road, Kodialbail, Mangalore. The main motto of the function is to educate youth through community-centric education, marking an important first step toward developing the next generation of entrepreneurs.Session resource persons were Sri Mahesh Masal, Human Mindset coach, director CONNECT, Dharwad, Sri Ng. Iboyaima Singh, Chief scientist CFTRI, Mysuru, Mr. Yathish Baikampady, Former CEO of Beach tourism development project, Mangaluru, Sri Suhas Gopinath, chairman and CEO, Global Inc member, advisory committee of innovation, Govt of India, Sri H M Srinivas, Additional director (MSME & PP), Industries and commerce department.Sessions provided an overview of the present startups and how to plan for startup which aims to cultivate a long-term entrepreneurial ecosystem. Also, central and state government development schemes for entrepreneurship are discussed. More than 100 students participated in this program and shared their perspectives.Dr. Soorya Krishna K., EDP Co-ordinator & Head, Dept. of E&C, encouraged students to attend a workshop to develop new entrepreneurship ideas in the college. Prof. Sathyaprakash and Prof. Girish A R coordinated and monitored the entire program.
