The Valedictory function of the activity of the ASMA, the students’ association of Mechanical Engineering Department and Institute of Engineers India student chapter, Srinivas Institute Technology for the year 2019-20 was held on 14th August 2020 by using online platform. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal of the college and President of the function congratulated the members of the association and advised the students to think positive whatever may be the situation arise and make use of this pandemic situation for innovation. Students should make use of this free time for their personal development skills and also in learning new things because learning never stops. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Shankar K S, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering gave complete scenario of technical education now a days and stressed the need of Mechanical Engineers and also said about Mechanical Engineers should not only focus on core area but also to inter-displinary areas. Faculty advisor of ASMA Prof. Lokesh V briefed about the annual report of ASMA. Faculty advisor of IE(I) Prof. Sathish KG compered the program.
