Plastic free Campus-Campus cleaning program
The Marine Students' Association (AIMES) at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, organised a Campus Cleaning Programme on November 20th 2023, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) within the college premises. The primary objective of this initiative was to impart awareness among the student community regarding the importance of maintaining a pristine and environmentally sustainable campus.

Mental Health Care Training for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
In collaboration with the Counselling and Career Guidance Cell, the Srinivas Institute of Technology's Institution's Innovation Council organized an insightful talk on "Mental Health Care Training for Aspiring Entrepreneurs." Tailored for budding Engineering, MBA,and MCA students, this session aimed to provide valuable insights into excelling academically while fostering an entrepreneurial spirit. Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Coordinator of the Counselling and Career Guidance Cell at SIT, extended a warm welcome to the participants. The engaging session was led by Mr Joyal, a Counsellor and Welfare Officer from Dr Thunga’s Manswini Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Care Training and Research Centre in Arukula, Mangalore, along with his team.

Effects of Architecture in Buildings-IKS
The Department of Architecture- SIT Valachil and the department of Civil Engineering, Srinivas University in collaboration with Apex Professional University organised a one-day seminar and workshop by Internationally renowned Vaastu scholar Acharya Dhanvant Singh in SIT auditorium on15-11-2019.The seminar and hands on workshop titled Effects of Architecture in Buildings was attended by around 300 students, Faculty from department of Architecture and Civil engineering, The principal of SIT; Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D and was presided by honorable chairman of Srinivasa group of institutions; C.A. A. Raghavendra Rao.The participants were enlightened on the impact of Vaastu on occupants health. The hands-on workshop involved a demonstration and analysis of Vaastu layout on existing building plans.
