Department of Computer Science and Engineering ONE TEAM - ONE PLANT PROGRAMME

Trees represent life, growth, peace and nature. They produce oxygen, clean soil, prevent drought, control flood related disasters, prevent soil erosion, improve physiological, mental and spiritual health, and also reduce carbon footprints. Keeping this in mind the campaign for the One team - One plant programme was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 28/12/2023 to 3rd CSE B section students and 10/01/2024 to 3rd CSE A section students. Dr. Suryanarayana.K, Co-Ordinator Green Cell , supported the tree sapling plantation drive and motivated the students to take care of the saplings so that they grow into healthy trees and were distributed free saplings which were planted in the open ground near the Mechanical workshop and College Canteen within the premises of the college. A total of 130 students participated in this program and this program was supported by our beloved Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and Dr. Suryanarayana.K Co-Ordinator Green Cell, the event was held under the guidance of Prof. Ravishankara K, Head of the Department, CS&E, Organized by Prof. Deepthi Dsouza and Prof. Jenisha Vegas Assistant Professor from Department of CS&E. We hope that such activities shall sensitize and encourage the students to “Love the trees until their leaves fall Off, then encourage them to try again next year”.
