Annual Sports Day -2019

The Annual Sports Day was celebrated, at Srinivas Institute of Technology with great enthusiasm on 19th March, 2019. The spirit of the occasion was ushered in with an impressive march past by the students and hoisting of sports flag by the Principal of the institution Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. In this occasion the Principal declared the Sports meet open and addressed the gathering and emphasized the need of sports activities in ones’ life. He also encouraged the students to actively participate in sports.

Various field and track events were organized during the meet. The sprints and relay events filled the air with cheering from the students and abundance of encouragement for the young athletes. Felicitation for alumni of the institution Mr. Mijo Chacko Kurian, who had achieved greater heights in track events during his college days and now serving the Indian Air Force, was done during the occasion.

The day was concluded with prize distribution ceremony in the presence of the Principal of the college. Prizes for march past, Individual Championships (UG and PG) under men and women category, and Overall championships in UG and PG category were given away.

Mr. Jayachandra, Physical Director, Mrs. Supriya Adiga, Physical Director, and Mr. Ramakrishna, Physical Director, conducted all the events successfully.
