Department Student Association (AAIE)
The Association of Artificial Intelligence Educatee (AAIE) serves as a dynamic platform for students to explore, learn, and innovate in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. AAIE plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands by organizing technical workshops, seminars, hackathons, and expert talks. EVENTS CONDUCTED 2023-24
1. Faculty Orientation Event - "Research Aspects of AIML" was conducted on 4 th NOV
2023 by Dr Anoop B K.
2. Technical talk was conducted on “ICT enabled tools” by prof Vivek vijay kumar of
marine dept on 9 th Nov .
3. TED-A-THON a technical presentation was conducted for 7 th sem students on Nov 10
2023.
4. AAIE and IEEE SB_SIT CHAPTER was inaugurated on 24 th Nov 2023. Dr.
Chandrakanta Kumar, IEEE Vice Chair, Bengaluru Section, and Senior Scientist at
ISRO, delivered a captivating address during the inauguration event
5. MY STORY a motivational session by successful entrepreneur Mr Praveen Olekaar
founder of NEXBEES.
6. TED-A-THON junior a technical presentation was conducted for 3 rd sem students on
Nov 30 2023.
7. AN ARTICLE REVIEW session was conducted for 5 th sen students by Dr Anoop B
K on 16 DEC 2023.
8. The Workshop on GENERATIVE AI, conducted on December 17,
2023,Thrivikrama, an esteemed AI specialist from IIT Delhi, in collaboration with
Next Wave Technology
9. AAIE organised a session on "PATENT SEARCH AND INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPR)" in collaboration with the IPR cell and IIC was held on
December 22, 2023, for final year students of Artificial Intelligence and Machine
learningProf. Vivek V. Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Marine
Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, served as the
session's resource person
10. ALTIUS-2023 an inter departmental technical event was conducted on 27 th Dec 2023
at the Institution.
11. PLANTATION & ADAPTATION OF A TREE, conducted on December 15, 2023

13. 2 days workshop on “object oriented concepts” was conducted for 3rd sem students
from 1st Feb 2024 to 2nd Feb 2024 by Prof Parvathraj K M M and Prof Madhusudan
S.
14. The IEEE Student Branch at Srinivas Institute of Technology hosted a compelling talk
on "IEEE Student Branch Establishments and Benefits" on February 2nd, 2024,
featuring Dr. Srinivas Talabattula as the esteemed resource person.
15. On 29 th Feb 2024, a group of 5th-semester students from the Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning (AIML) Department at Srinivas Institute of Technology
participated in an enlightening visit to the Centre for System Design (CSD) lab at
NITK Surathkal. The event aimed to provide students with practical insights into
cutting-edge technologies and research activities.
16. A webinar on “Innovations in Entrepreneurship " was conducted on 29 th Feb 2024
5:30-6:30pm featured a captivating motivational session by the esteemed entrepreneur,
Ganesh H S, Founder and CEO of Gully Sales and Filmy Sphere. The online event
aimed to inspire and educate participants about the journey of entrepreneurship and
the keys to achieving success.
