Various research projects have been undertaken in fields like renewable energy, data science, artificial intelligence, and civil engineering. The institute collaborates with industries and research organizations to promote innovation and ensure that research outcomes are relevant and applicable. In today’s knowledge-driven economy, the protection of intellectual property (IP) has become increasingly crucial for educational institutions, particularly in engineering and technology fields. An effective Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) policy is essential for Srinivas Institute of Technology to foster innovation, safeguard the creative works of its faculty and students, and enhance the institution’s reputation in research and development. An IPR policy establishes clear guidelines for identifying, protecting, and managing intellectual property created within the institute. As faculty and students engage in research projects, develop new technologies, or create educational materials, it is vital to ensure that their innovations are recognized and protected. This not only encourages a culture of creativity but also promotes collaboration with industry and enhances opportunities for commercialization. Moreover, having a robust IPR policy can attract funding and partnerships with industry, research organizations, and government entities. These collaborations often hinge on the ability to protect and commercialize intellectual property, thereby enhancing the institute’s role as a leader in innovation and research.
