E – BAJA TEAM SIT RACING

“E-BAJA – TEAM SITE RACING” consisting of 20 students of Automobile and Electrical & Electronics department of SIT Mangalore, had participated in SAE BAJA 2019 by qualifying in virtual round in Baja 2018 held at Chithkara university Punjab and ranked 3rdin the state and 42nd in India. The team build the vehicle named as “Flash 1.0“ , under a budget of 7 lakhs with the guidance of faculty advisors Jerome Anthony and Amit Kumar H of Automobile Engineering Department.

This year Baja witnessed more than 4000 engineering students and 50 E-BAJA teams were registered. The “Flash 1.0” has successfully completed technical inspection round and has ranked 2nd lightest E – Baja vehicle in India by weighing 205kg.

The team will be participating in upcoming event “KIMJAS motor sports” which is going to be held on 28th to 31st March 2019 in Vellore Chennai. The team is working on vehicle for a better performance for the coming event. The team focused and determined for the upcoming events for the next academic year to continue the glory of the team and make the college proud.
