Tech Eclipse: Innovations in Emerging Technologies
On February 27, 2025, under the Institutes Innovation Cell and the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE), the Department of ISE organized a contest named Tech Ellipse, was an intellectually stimulating quiz competition aimed at testing participant’s knowledge across various domains of technology, engineering, and current affairs. The primary objective of Tech Ellipse was to engage students in a fun, educational environment while encouraging them to explore technical concepts, advancements, and real-world applications. The event focused on enhancing participants' problem-solving skills, quick thinking, and teamwork, which are crucial for aspiring engineers and technologists.Tech Ellipse was structured into multiple exciting rounds, each designed to test different aspects of technical expertise and quick thinking. The competition kicked off with the Preliminary Round, a written quiz aimed at filtering participants based on their basic technical knowledge, logical reasoning, and general awareness. Those who cleared this stage advanced to the Technical Round, where shortlisted teams faced a series of challenging questions covering core engineering concepts, programming, emerging technologies, and groundbreaking innovations. Finally, the competition reached its peak with the Rapid-Fire Round, a high-pressure segment where finalists had to answer quick-fire questions within a set time limit, pushing them to think on their feet and showcase their agility under pressure. The event was supported by Prof. Sudarshan K., Head of the Department (HOD), ISE. It was skilfully conducted by Ms. Ashika Acharya and Ms.Krithika from the 4th semester ISE. The event was coordinated by Ms. Aparna N under the guidance of Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor of AISE. Their teamwork and dedication ensured the smooth execution of the contest.Tech Ellipse proved to be a major step in promoting technical awareness and healthy competition among students. The quiz-based format not only tested their knowledge but also sharpened their ability to apply concepts in real-world scenarios. It emphasized teamwork, critical thinking, and time management, as participants collaborated under pressure to tackle challenging questions. Beyond the competition, it became a platform for students from diverse engineering backgrounds to connect, share insights, and learn from each other. With its success, we aim to make Tech Ellipse an annual event, expanding its reach and inspiring students to stay curious in the ever-evolving world of technology.
