Swachh Campus cleaning activity conducted by MCA Students

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also called as the Clean India Mission or Clean India drive or Swachh Bharat Campaign. It is a national level campaign run by the Indian Government to cover all the backward statutory towns to make them clean. This campaign involves the construction of latrines, promoting sanitation programmes in the rural areas, cleaning streets, roads and changing the infrastructure of the country to lead the country ahead. This campaign was officially launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 145th birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd of October in 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi. A campus cleaning programme was organized by MASM association of MCA on 27.02.2019 at the college campus. A total of 34 MCA students participated in the programme. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding Cleanliness and its benefits. Under this programme, Mr.Girish Kundar, Coordinator of MASM initiated cleaning activities among students. The students cleaned the allotted location in the campus wearing gloves and collected all the litter in big bags for disposal. Refreshment coupons were distributed to the students. Dr.Shashidhar Kini K, HOD MCA , Mr.Rajesh Naik ,Associate Professor MCA department and other faculties were also present along with the MASM Coordinator. In the end we all took oath of keeping our home, locality and city clean. It was a unique experience for all of us. We were curious to be the part of this great drive that could have transformed the face of our country for ever.
