
Srinivas School of Architecture, Mangalorevisited the Qutub Minar Complex
On August 9th, 2024, 20 students accompanied by 1 faculty of Srinivas School of Architecture, Mangalorevisited the Qutub Minar Complex. The site offered an opportunity to understand the evolution of Indo-Islamic architecture. The towering Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the focal point of the complex. Its intricate stonework, Islamic calligraphy and the surrounding monuments like the Alai Darwaza were observed. The use of red sandstone as the primary building material and its impact on the overall aesthetic of the complex was also noted.
