
School Visit by Marine Engineering Students
Report on School Visit by Marine Engineering Students On April 4, 2025, the students of 4th semester Marine Engineering from Srinivas Institute of Technology, under the banner of the Student's Association, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), conducted a meaningful outreach program at DKZP Higher Primary School, Veera Kamba. This initiative aimed to inspire and educate young school children through interactive and engaging activities. The students, accompanied by faculty members Prof. Sunil Prakash and Prof. Chandra Jogi, were warmly received by the Head Mistress and school staff. A total of 43 Marine Engineering students actively participated in the initiative, dedicating their time and efforts to enriching the knowledge and curiosity of young minds. Throughout the visit, various academic and creative sessions were conducted. School children were introduced to a range of subjects including Science, Indian History, Mathematics, Indian Politics, and Shipping. To provide hands-on learning experiences, a model-making session was organized, which captivated the students' interest in marine technology. The event was coordinated by Prof. Sunil Prakash R, AIMES Coordinator, and Prof. Chandra Jogi, IIC Coordinator, under the guidance of Dr. Lokesh V, Head of the Department of Marine Engineering, and Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the Institute.
