Outreach Programme on Vana Mahotsav Week

In alignment with the global vision of environmental sustainability, the NSS volunteers of the 6th semester of the Department of Information Science and Engineering celebrated Vana Mahotsav on 10th July 2024. Vana Mahotsavwas enthusiastically observed at Shreeram Higher primary School, Arkula to promote environmental consciousness and active participation in tree planting. The event aimed to educate students about the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change, and preserving biodiversity. This initiative not only enhanced the green cover of the school but also instilled a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship among the participants. This campaign in-lined with VTU NSS activity. This program was supported by our beloved principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. The program was successfully completed with the help of Prof.Sudarshan K,Head of the Department, IS&E. The campaign was carried out under the guidance of Mrs. Shreekshitha , Assistant professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering.
