One Student One Tree – Tree Plantation programme

Student Association of Department of Marine Engineering (AIMES) has organised a tree plantation programme “One Student One Tree” on 14th August 2019 in Srinivas Institute of Technology, valachil, Mangaluru. Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, inaugurated the programme by planting the sapling in the college ground along with a student. “One Student One Tree” concept was initiated by AICTE NewDelhi, to spread and create awareness towards protecting the environment by tree plantation. All faculty members of the Department of Marine Engineering contributed to the cause by planting the saplings along with the students. Mangaluru range of the forest department supported the initiative by providing necessary saplings.
