ONAM CELEBRATIONS AT SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Onam, also known as the “Festival of Rain Flowers” was celebrated at Srinivas Institute of Technology on 14-09-2019, Saturday at its Valachil campus. Inaugurating the formal function by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, The Principal of the institution, lauded the students for their keen interest and enthusiasm in celebrating the event. He also congratulated the organizing committee for their pains and efforts put out in making the programme a successful one. Dr. Anant Kumar Kulkarni, the co-ordinator was present in the function. A rangoli competition, “POOKALAM” was organized to commemorate the occasion. On this occasion, various events such as “Thiruvathira”, “ChendaMelam”, “musical chair” had been organized. Several teams from various Departments participated in these events.
