Marine Student’s activity: Models of Ship Structures

Students of the 4th semester Marine Engineering created the models of various ship structural elements as a part of their assignment for Ship construction. Ship construction is a technical study of various structural components of a ship. These Models showcase the Bottom Shell and Side Shell constructions of generic vessels.

The models are detailed and labeled showing the various elements of the ship. The models help give a visual representation to the 2D diagrams available in the text books. These excellent models will, in future, help the faculties teach the subject of Ship construction effectively and will also help the students visualize what the inside structure of a ship looks like without actually going to a ship yard.
