Karnatakas First Ever event in Mangalore - GDSC WOW

Karnataka's first-ever Google DSC flagship event in Mangalore, GDSC WOW Mangalore, took place on May 6, 2024, at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. GDSC WoW (Wonder of Wonders) 2024 was a day-long event comprising tech talks, hands-on sessions, coding contests covering various topics of the latest technologies, and a Treasure Hunt game throughout the day “Treasure to WOW”. This event was organised by SIT IIC and EDP Cell in Associatin with GDSC, SIT. GDSC WOW is a collaborative event of 200+ GDSCs from India, which have joined hands to bring together students, developers, and communities under the same roof. This event served as a platform to attain knowledge and work on projects with experts in real-time, helping beginners take a step towards their technical careers. Important speakers during this event were: Swasthik Shetty, Cloud Solution Engineer at GOOGLE Adarsh Prabhu, Associate Director – Technology & Innovations at Niveus Solutions Pvt.Ltd., Dr. Basavaraj Talwar, Associate Professor, NITK Surathkal , Akshay Kumar U, Founder at Abhyudaya Softech, Sneha Pawar, Senior Salesforce developer at Cognizant, Shanwill Pinto, Software Engineer at UniCourt – Mangalore Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D inaugurated the event. Faculty GDSC coordinator Prof. Shailesh Shetty S and Student coordinator Mr. Ritik Ranjan coordinated the entire event. More than 300 students from different engineering colleges' GDSC clubs in the Mangalore and Hubli region, participated in this event.
