Inauguration of CSE & AIML Department Association- ASICS

The inaugural function of the student association of the Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Department - ASICS of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru for the year 2024-25 was held on Wednesday, 21st August 2024. Mr. Jaideep, Software Engineer, Aykan, Mangaluru, was the Chief Guest of this event. Mr. Jaideep, in his inaugural address, stressed the impact of Artificial Intelligence on job roles, workforce, and employment. He also urged the students to work with Artificial Intelligence tools and technologies to achieve better results. The highlight of the function was the unveiling of the association’s new logo, which was released by the Chief Guest. The release of the logo symbolized the association’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Science. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the college, in his presidential address, urged the students to organize the maximum number of events in their association and also take up initiatives to shape their ideas into realities. Dr. Suresha D, H.O.D., CS&E Department, in his address, appreciated the students for their active participation in the events conducted so far and asked them to extensively make use of such platforms to excel in their careers. Prof. Shreya Shetty, Staff Coordinator, introduced the office bearers of ASICS and led them in taking the oath of office, marking the official commencement of their responsibilities. Ms. Varsha, Event Coordinator, ASICS, outlined the activities conducted so far and also proposed the plan of action for 2024-25. Ms. Lalithya C. K., President, ASICS, welcomed the gathering, and Ms. Harshitha H. Hegde, Secretary, ASICS, delivered the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Ms. Ayshatul Suzana and Ms. Lisha. The function was a significant milestone for ASICS, setting a strong foundation for future activities and initiatives.
