Inaugural function of the activity of the ASMA and IEI

The inaugural function of the activity of the ASMA, the students’ association of Mechanical Engineering Department and Institute of Engineers India student chapter, Srinivas Institute Technology for the year 2019-20 was held on 24th Sepember 2019. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Y, Associate general Manager- Mechanical Operations, UPCL Padubidre was the chief guest of the function.

Mr. Ramesh Kumar Y who spoke on the occasion stressed the role of Mechanical engineering in day today life. He also emphasized on contribution of Mechanical Engineering in all the engineering areas. As a Mechanical Engineer it is very important that every individual should indentify the interesting areas and start working on that to further improve skillset which is achievable and innovative.

Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal of the college and President of the function congratulated the members of the association and said more activities should be conducted under the association for the development of the students, thereby enhancing their technical and managerial skills. And also suggested the students to take interest in interdiscpline areas which are in demand in the industry such as machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Shankar K S, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering gave complete scenario of technical education and stressed the need for the student involvement in the association for the development of department. Faculty advisor of ASMA Prof. Lokesh V briefed about the activities of ASMA. Faculty advisor of IE(I) Prof. Sathish KG. introduced the members of ASMA.

The program was welcomed by Mr. Kawshik N N, president of ASMA Mr. Suhail president of IE (I) introduced the chief guest. Ms.Thanushree Shetty & Ms Thanuja compered the program and Mr.Tejas delivered vote of thanks.
