IIC Innovation Challenge: Poster Presentation

Yukti Cell and the Department of Mechanical Engg jointly organized a Poster Presentation Competition for final-year and pre-final year project batches on 27th Feb 2025. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and project work through visually engaging posters. It also encouraged teamwork, creativity, and effective communication of technical concepts. The event commenced with a brief inauguration ceremony, graced by HOD of Mechanical Engineering department Dr. Shankar K S, who emphasized the importance of such platforms in fostering innovation and technical acumen among students. A total of 4 project batches participated in the competition, presenting posters on diverse themes such as Electric Vehicle Technology, Alternate Energy Solutions, and Sustainable Design. All the poster presentations were judged by Prof. Varun N. Each poster was evaluated by a panel of judges based on various criteria like Innovation and originality, Clarity of presentation, Technical content, and Visual appeal. Students had the opportunity to explain their projects to the judges, faculty, and peers, receiving valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement. This interactive session fostered knowledge exchange and collaborative learning. The event was well-received by participants and attendees. It provided students with a platform to gain confidence in presenting their ideas and helped them understand the importance of effectively communicating technical information. Faculty members and judges expressed their appreciation for the students’ efforts and creativity. The competition was successfully coordinated by Yukti Cell department coordinator Dr. Raghavendra M J, IIC-IA & Prof. Sandesh K S under the guidance and support of the principal, Dr. Shrinivas Mayya D, IIC Convenor Dr. Praveen Shenoy, and Yukti Cell Coordinator Prof. Vivek Vijay Kumar.
