Entrepreneurship Motivation program on “Bee keeping as a business”

Entrepreneurship development club (EDC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore, organised an Entrepreneurship Motivation program on “Bee keeping as a business” for Engineering, MBA and MCA students on 8th of April 2019. Mr. Shyam Bhat, Agriculturist, Belthangady was the chief guest of the function shared his experience with students as a successful entrepreneur. 160 students participated in the program.

The talk provides general overview of the bees, the different types and what makes them such efficient pollinators. The talk then focuses more on the honey bee, how they live, the castes within the hive and environmental benefits of bee and harvesting honey for personal use and for business. This program was initiated and supported by Dr.Srinivasa Mayya D, Principal. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, EDC Coordinator, Dept of MBA, Mr. Sudarshan K, Secretary, Dept of CSE and Ms. Sowmya, Joint Secretary, Dept of ISE.
