Digital Arrest - Expert Talk on AI and Cyber Security

The Department of Information Science & Engineering and Computer Science & Design at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an insightful Expert Talk on 'Digital Arrest: Legal, Ethical, and Technological Perspective in the Age of AI and Cyber Security' on February 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the 4th-floor seminar hall. The session was conducted by Prof. Rakesh Malya, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication, who provided valuable insights into the evolving challenges and responsibilities in the realm of AI and cybersecurity. The primary objective of this session was to educate students on the legal, ethical, and technological implications of AI-driven systems and cybersecurity measures. Prof. Rakesh Malya delivered an engaging presentation, highlighting key concerns such as data privacy, AI biases, cyber threats, ethical AI development, and digital rights. Throughout the session, participants engaged in discussions on cyber laws, ethical hacking, AI-driven surveillance, and the impact of artificial intelligence on privacy and human rights.
