Association of Information Science and Engineering Blood Donation Camp

On July 25, 2024, the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE) at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences,Mukka. The event held under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D, Head of the Information Science and Engineering Department Prof. Sudarshan K, Staff Advisor Prof. Sowmya, and NSS Advisor Prof. Shreekshitha, was a significant initiative aimed at contributing to community health and welfare.The camp was coordinated by a dedicated team of second-year Information Science and Engineering students, including KI Mohammad Ifwan, Mohammad Masood, Priyanka and Sharanya. Their meticulous planning and execution ensured the event's success, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills.The Blood Donation Camp attracted over 30 donors from various academic disciplines, highlighting the institute's diverse and community-focused ethos. The event's inclusive nature encouraged participation from both first-time donors and regular contributors. The camp followed a structured process, starting with health screenings conducted by a professional medical team from Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences. This team, consisting of experienced doctors and nurses, ensured that the donors were fit to donate and provided comprehensive care throughout the process.The camp was a vibrant event, marked by a spirit of generosity and cooperation. The medical team facilitated the smooth collection of blood, ensuring all safety protocols were strictly followed. The participants were provided with refreshments and post-donation care, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment.
