ASP.net Core Workshop

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering student association ASCEE organized an hands-on workshop on ASP.net Core for 3rd year students on 13th July 2024 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. The workshop featured Mr. Freedal Rubin Rodrigues, Software Engineer, Nuvteq Solutions Private Ltd, Bengaluru as the Resource Person with an objective to provide experience on developing Web Applications using ASP.net. In his keynote address he said that with the rise of cloud computing and modern web development practices, there is an increasing demand for .NET developers skilled in ASP.NET Core, Azure, and other cloud-native technologies. Dr. Suresha D, H.O.D, Dept.of CS&E urged the students to gain maximum knowledge on ASP.net programming that plays a vital role in the deployment of Web applications. The ASP.NET student workshop covered a comprehensive introduction to ASP.NET Core and object-oriented programming with C#. Participants developed ASP.NET Core MVC project, performing CRUD operations using EF Core and implementing filtering with LINQ. The workshop also included essential concepts like ASP.NET routing and dependency injection to build robust and scalable applications. More than 100 students actively participated in this workshop. Prof. Shreya Shetty and Ms. Vishika Shetty ensured the seamless coordination and execution of the event.
