Report on talk on opportunities in post graduation and research

A technical talk session on opportunities in post graduation and research was jointly organized by All Students Mechanical Association (ASMA) of Mechanical Engineering department and Association of Integrated Marine Engineering Students (AIMES) of Marine Engineering Department, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. Dr. Shivakumar, Dean, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal was the resource person.Dr. Shivakumar gave illustrative information regarding the various post graduate opportunities available after UG. Professor also gave detailed information on various research opportunities, Internship opportunities for the UG as well as PG Students and available stipend. During his presentation he cleared various doubts came from the student community. Session was very much informative where it cleared many of the doubts had by the students. HoD of Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Shankar K S introduced the resource person and HoD of the Marine Engineering Department, Dr. Lokesh V was present during the event. Prof. Mohammed Gowspeer, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering Coordinated the programme.
