NEP 2020 Anniversary Celebration at SIT

The Institution Innovation Council IIC in association with Internal Quality Assurance cell IQAC of Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru celebrated the Anniversary of the National Education Policy NEP 2020 on July 29 2025 with an enlightening session aimed at spreading awareness about the vision and progressive reforms brought by NEP The event was graced by Dr Suresha D Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru who served as the resource person In his address Dr Suresha D provided a comprehensive overview of the transformational aspects of NEP 2020 including the importance of multidisciplinary education skill based learning flexibility in curriculum and the integration of innovation and technology in education The session was started with a brief introduction to the objectives of NEP 2020 followed by the keynote by Dr Suresha D who emphasized the role of higher education institutions in aligning their strategies with national goals He encouraged faculty and students to actively participate in innovation activities promoted by the IIC and leverage the opportunities brought forth by NEP The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 120 students and faculty members who engaged in a vibrant QA session at the end reflecting their interest in the policys practical implications The program was organized with the full support of Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology whose backing underscored the institution’s commitment to fostering an environment that values educational excellence and holistic student development Additionally Dr Praveen Shenoy IIC Coordinator and Dr Suresha D IQAC Coordinator SIT played a significant role in facilitating the event ensuring it aligned with the IIC’s mission to promote innovative thinking and entrepreneurship among students The entire event was coordinated seamlessly by Prof Ganapathi Sharma Department of AI and DS Event Coordinator for the IIC who organized and managed the program to ensure meaningful engagement with students effectively commemorating the spirit of National Education Day and emphasizing the value of education in national and personal development The NEP 2020 Anniversary celebration concluded with a renewed commitment from the institute to integrate the principles of NEP into academic and co curricular activities further strengthening its mission to create a holistic multidisciplinary and future ready learning environment
