FDP on Generative AI by CSE, ECE and Allied Branches

The Departments of CSE ECE and allied branches organized a Faculty Development Program FDP on Generative AI from July 28 to August 1 2025 The FDP was inaugurated on July 28 2025 with Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D presiding over the function In his inaugural address he emphasized the importance of faculty staying updated with emerging technologies highlighting Generative AI as one of the most rapidly advancing fields today Mr Aditya Ramanath Poonja Machine Vision Engineer at Vanora Robots Mangaluru served as the resource person and stressed the need for faculty to introduce students to prompt engineering The FDP aimed to train faculty in building AI powered chatbots using modern Generative AI tools and to provide practical exposure to Langchain Llamindex Hugging Face and Gradio for creating real world applications Dr Soorya Krishna K briefed the gathering about the workshop mentioning that 52 faculty members from various departments had registered for the FDP The event was coordinated by Mr Shailesh Shetty K Head of the CSBS Department
