The Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Anti-Ragging Cell, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, successfully organized an Essay Writing Competition on 21 August 2026 at 2:30 PM in M401 on the topic "How Ragging Affects Mental Health of the Students."

The event was organized by Prof. Rajesh Naik, Event Coordinator, under the guidance of Dr. Dheeraj Hebri, HOD, Department of Computer Applications, and Prof. Lokesh V, Anti-Ragging Committee Coordinator, with the support of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal.

The competition was successfully conducted by Prof. Anushree and Prof. Ananya Kedila, who coordinated and carried out the competition smoothly, encouraging students to express their thoughts on the importance of a ragging-free campus.
