On the occasion of World Entrepreneurs’ Day, Srinivas Institute of Technology organized an insightful panel discussion on “Bridging Industry and Academia: Panel Discussion on the Regional Startup Ecosystem” on 21 August 2026, in association with IIC and EDP Cell.

The session featured distinguished panelists Mr. Sharathchandra N R, Industry-Integrated Educator; Dr. Umashankar K S, Professor, SIT; and Mr. Sathyaprakash Anekallu, Co-Founder – SLIDE. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Vivek Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, SIT.

The panel shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, startup opportunities, industry–academia collaboration, and nurturing young innovators. An interactive Q&A session further enabled students to engage with the experts and gain practical perspectives on the regional startup ecosystem.

The event was an inspiring platform that encouraged students to explore innovation, entrepreneurship and startup development.
