The Spirit of Service: Turning Knowledge into Nation-Building.

On 27 November 2025, under the Institute’s Innovation Cell, and in association with the NSS Unit, the Association of Computer Science and Design Educatee (ACODE), and the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE), the Departments of Computer Science & Design (CSD) and Information Science & Engineering (ISE) organized an VIVEKA JAGRUTI LECTURE SERIES

The Departments of CSD and ISE of Srinivas Institute of Technology organized a session under the Viveka Jagruthi Lecture Series from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The session was graced by the presence of spiritual speaker Swamy Atmajnanananda Ji delivered an insightful lecture on the topic “The Spirit of Service: Turning Knowledge into Nation-Building.”

The talk highlighted the importance of service-oriented thinking, the role of youth in national development, and the need for integrating values with education. Students gained valuable insights on how academic knowledge, when combined with compassion and responsibility, can contribute meaningfully to society and nation-building.

The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sahana B, Prof. Aparna N, Staff Coordinators, with the support of Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the Departments of CSD and ISE, Dr. Anant Kumar Kulkarni, SWO & HOD, dept. of Mathematics and Prof Rakesh Mallya, NSS Coordinator. The event was organized under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Their collective efforts ensured the successful execution of the Viveka Jagruthi Lecture Series session, which served as a valuable platform for learning, inspiration, and holistic development.

Overall, the programme was well-received and contributed significantly to the intellectual and value-based enrichment of the attendees.
