The Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, and Computer Science and Design of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a technical session on “Safe and Inclusive Artificial Intelligence as a Catalyst for Economic Development” on 06 February 2026 at Ethnotech Lab.

The session aimed to create awareness among students about the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in economic development while emphasizing responsible, safe, and inclusive AI practices. The program focused on equipping students with knowledge about ethical AI implementation, innovation opportunities, and real-world technological advancements driven by Artificial Intelligence.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Prashanth Kannadaguli, CEO, Dhaarini AI-TECH Research Academy. During the session, he delivered an insightful talk on the evolution of Artificial Intelligence, its transformative impact across industries, and the necessity of developing AI systems that are transparent, ethical, and socially responsible.

The speaker highlighted how AI technologies contribute to economic growth through automation, intelligent decision-making, and enhanced productivity. He discussed key challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and ethical concerns, stressing the need for inclusive AI systems that benefit society as a whole.
