The session began with the students rendering a warm welcome to the resource person. The resource person was introduced to everyone gathered there by one of the students. The resource person discussed his professional experience in the industry . He also shared insights into nano material fabrication, explaining how advanced materials are developed, processed and tested for industrial use. The guest speaker began by telling the students– in a fun, informal way– that he expected one-to-one interaction . He asked the students if they had any prior knowledge of the topic he specializes in . Since the students were unaware of it, he gave them a basic introduction to the topic, helping them understand it better. Key points covered during the session included his brief explanation of why it’s important to understand how a product you design is made and how a product you design is made and how it works , and how this knowledge has helped him in the industry. He also shared his appreciation for one of his seniors in the field , who spent hours with him and helped him understand what he was really supposed to do in the industry and what the work environment would be like for him.
