Workshop on Problem Solving and Mathematical Aptitude
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with 10SECONDS, Bangalore, organized a Five-Day Workshop on C Programming and Communication Skills from 13th October to 17th October 2025 for the 3rd-semester students. The resource persons from 10SECONDS delivered expert sessions covering core technical and professional skill areas. The workshop included hands-on training in C programming, along with sessions on aptitude development, effective communication, presentation skills, and public speaking. The program was designed to strengthen students’ foundational programming knowledge while simultaneously enhancing their interpersonal and workplace communication abilities.
The objective of the workshop was to equip students with strong programming fundamentals essential for problem-solving in engineering courses and competitive examinations. It also aimed to improve students’ communication and presentation competencies, enabling them to articulate ideas clearly, participate confidently in group discussions, and perform better in interviews. Additionally, the program intended to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by fostering both technical proficiency and soft skills necessary for future career advancement.
The outcome of the workshop was highly positive, as students gained improved confidence in writing efficient C programs and applying logical reasoning to technical problems. They developed a better understanding of aptitude concepts relevant for placement tests and higher studies. The sessions on communication and public speaking helped students enhance their vocabulary, clarity of expression, and stage confidence. Overall, the workshop contributed significantly to strengthening students’ technical foundations and soft skills, preparing them effectively for upcoming academic challenges and industry-oriented training programs.
