The Department of Computer Science and Engineering successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on “AI Coding Agents: The New Way to Build Software – From Prompt to Product” on 9th September 2026.Mr. Shashidhara K, Technical Manager, Taskmonk, Mangalore, served as the Resource Person and shared valuable insights into AI coding agents and their applications in modern software development. The workshop provided participants with practical exposure to AI-assisted coding, software development workflows, and emerging AI technologies, helping them strengthen their technical skills and understand the growing role of AI in developing real-world software solutions. The event was coordinated by Prof. Alwyn Edison Mendonca and Prof. Spoorthi B, Coordinator, ASCEE, with the valuable support of Dr. Shrisha H. S., Head of the Department, CSE. Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal, the workshop served as a valuable academic enrichment initiative, providing exposure to emerging AI-assisted software development practices, and awareness of emerging industry practices.
